I teach media studies to sixteen-year-olds. Half the class now insists anything they dislike is AI, the other half believes every single thing they see. I want to run a lesson where they actually test a few clips instead of just arguing with each other.
The problem is that most of the advice I can find is out of date. Weird hands, strange blinking, melted teeth, none of that holds up against the current generation of models as far as I can tell.
So what would you actually teach this year? I would rather give them three checks that still work than ten that used to. Free tools that run on locked-down school laptops would be a huge bonus.
